Memorial Inscriptions from Longtown

Memorial inscriptions are a valuable source of information to the genealogist and local historian. However they are not a permanent record, and many are gradually being lost through neglect and vandalism. I hope on this site to provide space where people can share the inscriptions they have recorded from churchyards round Longtown, and add a bit more information about the families buried there. Where there are obituaries for those mentioned, they have been added below each entry.

Thanks to all those who have contributed to the site.

Any other contributions always welcome - contact me please!
