Charging and Remissions Policy

Under the 1988 Education Act we must set out any items for which we must make a charge. Wherever possible activities are free and many are subsidised by the fundraising activities of FROLIX (Friends of Lixwm School). However for some things we ask for a voluntary contribution or the event would not be able to take place. Here are the things we often ask for your financial support –

- To ensure an educational visit is financially viable
- To provide a live theatre experience for the children in school
- To pay for individual music lessons (outside National Curriculum Music)
- Badges and certificates for achievement in Swimming and Gymnastics
- Annual membership of the Urdd

Parents on income support may be able to get help to pay for residential visits.
