| My earliest know relative is John Preston born about 1680. He married | |
| Magdelane Ranson in Tothill 25 Apr 1706. | |
| John's grandson married Mary Gelder from Flixborough 23 Apr 1782. | |
| They married in Winterton and stayed in the North West of the county. | |
| Subsequent generations lived in and around West Halton and Burton | |
| upon Stather. My grandfather George moved to Kingston upon Hull | |
| around 1900. |
