The history of this farm dates back six generations and over 100 years. The farm was started in the late 1892 on 400 acres. The actual original homestead is still used as the operations headquarters. As early as 1892 Eric Larson traveled from the productive riverbottom ground near Beloit Kansas to work a trade with someone in the Fancy Creek area were it is said that due to the abundant rocks and wooded areas there would be plenty to build with.
Here the roots for Larson Farms were laid. His son John continued the tradition by working the land through the roaring twenties and into the depression era of the 30's.
His son Paul followed in his fathers footsteps with a hard work ethic that saw the farm through the late 30's to the early 50's.
It was at this time that the fourth generation; Pauls son Jon took over leadership duties after attending Iowa State University and continued the tradition propelling the farm into the productive 70's.
As the 80's evolved Larson Livestock was formed and Jons son the Fifth Generation, Raymond graduated from Kansas State University and Returned to the operation.
In 2002 Raymond's Son Andy the sixth generation has continued the tradition started in 1892 by graduating from Kansas State University and forming Larson Ranches while working closely with Jon and Raymond in operating the family business.
