William Safire reported in the New York Times that France has been secretly
helping to arm Iraq and has been helping Irag build long range missiles.
These same missiles may NOW possibly be used against our own US soldiers.

better look in our own backyard before calling names on this one, we did it too.
I still am in hopes that someday our world will learn to live in peace, I know
there are many out there that hope the same. I supported our
troops and continue to do so. I cannot say I agree with what France has
done but someone has to be the bigger person at some point and stop some of the
drama. This may not make me popular but I am not out to win any popularity
contests either. Have some faith in God, he has never failed to take care
of anything yet.
Congratulations Peggy!! I am thrilled that you will be doing another show
this year and that you are so famous! Before long we might be viewing
"The Peggy Foos" show on TV : ) I know you will put
together another show to wow them this year, just being you is pretty
spectacular all in itself. Don't forget that!
Many Blessings,
Judith
Happy
Saturday everyone,
I have had two ears lately, one that watches parts of the news and one that is
centered here getting songs lined up.
I have decided that my Theme is Walking through time. Because I will try
to have those songs we loved in the past, along with our rendition of who we
feel they were, mixed with today and the music of today. Other than
devoted friends that will perform this show for others, I am finding that many
supporters along the way will add to the overall effect we wish to show, which
is a family show enjoyed by all.
Some of the song I have selected are from my past, but others will find the echo
through it all. As I grew up, music was my outlet for emotions that were
unacceptable in the eye of the public, so I was very fortunate to not only have
Bach as a guide but Al Jolson, who parodied life in the only form of expression
he knew would be accepted. Not to be outdone in the time of today though
there is Madonna and her song material world. The children of the Moose
will sing live to a song called 'you are my sunshine' with the hopes that the
world will share their innocence and yet be proud of their efforts. Dean
Martin will peel out 'memories are made of this,' and Enrique Inglaesies
will be the 'Hero' and the Kingston Trio will ask us to 'try to remember.'
'King of the Road' will bounce off the walls and my daughter Steph will remind
us that most are 'calling all angels.' Little by little I am lining up
what I feel will be a message of love and courage to the lodge through the
medium of music.
If I were to be honest in my efforts there would end up to be a show of many
hours of music to express hope, love, and charity, but for now will try to do an
effective one of a bit over an hour.
To the news today of us pushing our weight around with Syria, I think we best
sit back and ask why this chip on our shoulder should be present? How many
lives do we have to take before our grudge and agenda is finished? I saw a
very good movie on our channel 41 of Napeoleon last week, with his conquering
techniques and leading all to his war. His strength and dilligence made
him the true emperor he became, but when the smoke cleared what actually did he
achieve? Eventually though the conqueror became the enemy, as we are
seeing through some echos in Iraq.
We as a strong nation could find many reasons to go out of our way and keep this
war agenda strong and healthy. Just piss us off and we rise to the
occasion. Threaten us and stomp your feet in the sand and we warriors will
show you who is boss and who is the most powerful. Just say to us you have
the same capabilities of killing thousands and we will show you who should have
charge of this decision if you wish it.
Sort of reminds me of a question being asked in the rooms at times, who urinated
in your wheaties this morning? My question is simple, who made us God?
If buffaloing some makes the world safer then so be it, but if we have to beat
to death a premise in order to show by example, then perhaps the strategy has to
change from here on.
Yes we freed many in Iraq who have been under torment, but they will never adapt
to our thinking here, nor choose our form of religion or government for their
own good.
Yes we are offereing freedom of capitol and the ability to think for all, but is
that enough to take the threats away in life? They have seen our power and
tasted our weaponery, does that not instill envy of that power? They have
witnessed the degredation of their world with stealing and looting and lost
their treasures that make them what and who they are. They can't even see
at night because the electricity makes their lives go backwards, and we are the
shining glory?
We warred against a regime, a few who caused pain and anguish, and yet we cannot
prove that they are finished. We toppled icons, and yet watched the
country tear itself apart piece by piece. We are a great country that now
has to figure out what is next other than making new enemies.
My next move is to instill others with the facts that no matter where we have
come from, life is worth living to the best of our ability. I did not put
on any uniform nor fly over any ocean, nor grab a weapon and fight. I sat
here in my room and prayed that what we started would end without too many
deaths and that our chip would crumble through time. Now I will find
solace in just doing those things that come easy to me and have meaning and hope
that eventually the world follows suit.
Sometimes when nothing seems feasible, we just need to back off from a position
that finds us losing ourselves with effort to those simple things that make us
feel better about us and life. I can't stop the agendas, but I can try to
find solace in tomorrow. God Bless us all and keep us from harm.
Sincerely,
Peggy
