Well what a night! The bands played wonderfully to a mravellous and receptive audience. KYSO has been booked for two gigs in the next few months, and all concerned had a wonderful time.
Andrew really blew a storm with to great Clarinet solos, and his two duets with Milly! Baby It's Cold Outside was reported to have been the best number of the night! Many thanks to Mim and Tony who fillled int he missing Trumpet parts on the night, and to Stuart Cherry - Chedworth Drummer, for letting Tim Miller use his kit.
On that note - Good Luck to Timmy as he goes travelling in the New Year, he will be greatly missed! Replacing Tim as the new KYSO drummer is current GYJO drummer Andrew Brotherton, who I'm sure will do very well!

After a successful rehearsal on Sunday, KYSO are feeling ready for the gig tomorrow night.
It will be the debut concert for Laura Newell on 2nd Tenor, so good luck Laura!
Milly Wise who did play 2nd Tenor for the band will in fact be singing this year! And another member of the band will be serenading her, you'll have to come to the gigs to find out who......
We also have some musicians guesting with KYSO on Friday night, one being Tony who used to be a member of GYJO, but is currently studying Medicine at Oxford University, he will be playing 2nd Trumpet. As will Miriam, a current member of GYJO, helping us out on 4th Trumper.
The Chedworth Dance Band, who are hosting the evening, have also had many rehearsals to prepare for the gig and are also looking forward to it.
The concert itself is in aid of Compassion in World Farming, an extremely worthwhile charity. For the event Andrew (MD - KYSO) and Morris (MD - CDB) have been doing several publicity shoots for local papers, accompanied by cows, sheep, horses, pigs and a host of other farmyard creatures!
The event is being supported by celebrities, Jilly Cooper, John Craven and whispers that Joanna Lumley may be getting involved, are also flying around!
So please if you are in the area on Friday the 12th, support the bands in raising as much money for charity as possible. Don't forget there is a hot supper included in the ticket price - what more could you want!
On a final note, please can we say a massive thank you to Morris and Moira who have gone to a huge effort to arrange the evening, and without them, it wouldn't be happening!
