A special poem

Would you? I am a little Bullie girl I'm just a few months old And I have a secret That I've never told For you see when I was born I heard no birds that early morn You've guessed it, yes, I am deaf But I'm sure that I'm not loved any less I've never heard a single thing No barking dog or telephone ring Yes to you it may sound sad But I dont miss what I've never had You couldnt tell to look at me It isnt something you can see I wish people wouldnt pity me I'm a typical bullie as you will see!! I may not hear but I can see I know just what my mum says to me I watch her hands, I watch her face I perform each move with style and grace Mums eyes light up, I've got it right! Then she hugs me nice and tight We go to class, we like to train I've put some hearing dogs there to shame On command, I sit, heel and lay down While other pups just sniff around I know I make my mum so proud I get so excited I bark out loud!! At home I Bullie run across the floor I love to bounce off the bathroom door! I try to eat things I know I shouldnt But they look so nice...dont say you wouldnt! I may live in a silent world But I'm just like any other Bullie girl I love my hugs and I love my kisses When mums not here I'm sure its me she misses Its peoples predjudice that makes me sad Not all deaf dogs are mad or bad Get to know us and you will see Most of them are just like me! So have a think please, one and all What you'd have done if I'd not heard you call I'm glad my mum took me home to keep Would you really have had me put to sleep?
