Ballykeel Loyal Sons of Ulster has seen many changes occur in the past few years, primarily associated with the personnel within it's ranks.It has witnessed the departure of some long serving and extremely dedicated members, through very amicable terms it must be stated. Even with the loss of such members Ballykeel has continued to prosper through the years and as a result of which is now established as unarguably one of the finest marching bands in the country.
There are several factors behind this rise in stature, one being the incredible influx of new blood into the ranks.
This surge of new members has resulted in a swelling of the ranks to an all time high of a total pushing the fifty mark.
The main reason contributing to this prolonged success is still the undoubted musical talent so evident with Ballykeel and the standards which accompany this talent.The band has always endeavoured to promote the true loyalist cause and to show that there is much more to the loyalist band scene that is perceived.
