Welcome to my web site! Julie became MBE and Doctor in 2006
Julie gained an MBE in the Queen's New Years Honours List, for her 'Services to Swimming and Charity' in 2006. She collected this from Buckingham Palace in February. AND in December, Loughborough University conferred upon Julie and Honorary Doctorate (honoris causa) for her 'Outstanding Achievements and Charity Work' (see link - tbd). This was in addition to her new butterfly records in her 'Loughs and Lakes' Tour So what is in store for 2007 ? Julie is organising and swimming in two ladies' relay events in Northern Ireland and Cumbria - both of which will be world records as no-one has done them before; plus, Julie is going to be involved more in public speaking (see link - tbd) Also, Julie is looking for sponsorship for these and other events so if you can help please contact Julie on the E-mail address below.
