Application Delivery

At British American Tobacco (BAT) I rewrote the McAfee application delivery system. Adding metrics & logic to facilitate the delivery & configuration of complex packages. Greatly improving functionality and reduced end used input.

JPMorgan delivery system was similar to BAT, I extended their delivery system even further. I then orchestrated the move to NAL.

Document Control

At JPMorgan I designed & built a document control system with Lotus Notes. The system controls the delivery of application. This streamlined the creation & control of application delivery; for the first time provided metrics on their creation and maintenance.

Practices and Procedures

At JPMorgan I wrote all the Standards, Practice & Procedures for the application delivery system. Along with the documentation control system I’d built, the application delivery system became very effective & efficient.

Quality Control

At JPMorgan I controlled the quality of documentation & implementation of all application delivered using the systems I had created. All integrations came through me for sign-off, ensuring constancy and standardization of all integrations.

Retail

At The Body Shop I designed, built & installed an Electronic Point of Sale (EPoS) system. After a year looking for an off-the-shelf system, I persuaded the company to build a bespoke system. Seven months later, I oversaw the installation in a number of stores. The system provided the store managers with all the financial reports required.

Networks

At the Nuffield Trust I installed a small network to prepare for a planed modernization. The network worked above expectations.

Flight Simulation

At IMACS I pioneered the use of PCs to maintain flight simulators. This not only facilitated editing, it improved control, backup, saving time & money.

Inventory Management

At United Friendly I implemented McAfee’s Inventory system. Greatly improving hardware & software management.

Conferencing

At the Finhorn Foundation I designed and built a ‘Seminar & Mailing’ system. Streamlining the booking & control of seminars.

Invoicing

At IMACS I designed, built & implanted a ‘Time-Sheet & Invoicing’ system. Streamlining invoicing and improving profit management.

Training

At CJE Micros, Imacs, United Friendly and JPMorgan I trained staff in effective use of IT. I trained users in all aspects of efficient IT use; covering ‘file management’, ‘backups’, ‘application use & interaction’ and ‘principals of good practice’.

Manufacturing

At Weir Electronics I maintained a ‘Design Control’ & ‘Change Management’ system that formed the basis of the manufacturing process.
