James and my grandfather were both born at "Draw Well Farm," in the Lyth Valley,Westmorland.

James Inman was one of the largest Damson growers in the county [Westmorland]
There are still Damson orchards in the Lyth Valley.

In the springtime, the orchards of the Lyth Valley produce a profusion of white blossom – a truly beautiful site.
