Inman was born in Howgill, a Hamlet in Sedbergh in the West Riding of Yorkshire,
his wife, Margaret Knipe was born in Beathwaite Green, the county of Westmorland
[Beathwaite green is now called Levens]
James and Margaret lived and farmed in Sedbergh then moved to Beathwaite Green
about 1742; James and Margaret were my 4x great-grandparents.
Robert Inman was a blacksmith in Beathwaite Green, Robert's Wife Catherine Jackson
was also born in Beathwaite green [they were my 3 xgreat-grandparents]
John Inman born in Beathwaite green and his wife Ann Wright born in Helsington
move to a farm in Lyth, Westmorland called "DRAW WELL"
the Inman family farmed at "DRAW WELL" for over a hundred years [there
was still a Inman family there on the 1901 census]
