Sudan AppealOxfam is there
One million people have been forced to leave their homes in Darfur, Western Sudan, fleeing fighting and danger. People are running out of food, drinking water is scarce and their makeshift shelters are collapsing. Thousands of families are at risk.
What Oxfam is doing
We are working in camps set up for the displaced people in Sudan and those who have escaped over the border to Chad.
We are constructing thousands of latrines and providing clean drinking water and washing facilities, to prevent the spread of disease.
