Historical roles
& interpretation

"What ho" and welcome to Harry and Edna's Home Front Friends web site, featuring our educational British 20th century social
history interpretation and historical impressions.

Our speciality is WW2 British home front and we offer historical interactive talks, educational workshops, living history,  re-enactment performances and museum interpretation.

To keep the audiences attention we mix serious subjects with a little humour. The term we use to describe what we do is 'edutainment'.

We can perform our interpretation / living history in the '1st person' which means can we interact with visitors as if we were a person from the period. We are both members of the actors union, Equity and have public liability insurance.

Although we are best known for our WW2 home front impression we also enjoy portraying the WW1 / Edwardian period.

If you have not visited our site for a while, its worth clicking on What's New and if you ever get lost while surfing this site, click on the Home Front Friends logo on the top left hand corner to return to this home page.

If you are interested in the UK 1940's retro movement do visit either our MySpace page or the links section which together acts as a gentle introduction into the current scene.

We hope you enjoy your visit and although Heinkels and Dorniers may circle overhead, are we down hearted?
