This beautiful garden is made up from the grounds of several imposing houses now
owned by the university. These buildings were originally constructed by wealthy
Leicester industrialists. The garden is already mentioned on this web-site for a good outside specimen of Poncirus trifoliata. Click here for details. The warm-temperate greenhouse is home to a small collection of potted citrus, plus a large, mature specimen of Ponderosa Lemon planted in the central bed. |
