We can do 1 to 3 day tours,in coaches or minibus. We also do 1 to 3 day tours in a car for 1 to 2 persons for your own guided and very personal tour.
In the UK we use Portsmouth as a base and can cater for groups large or small for a week of historic touring.
Trips to the World War 1 battlefields in France and Belgium drive to Dover for the short sea-crossing to Calais.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
COACH
Each modern coach is with you throughout the tour.
All seats are reserved and will be allocated in booking order.Every effort will be made to keep couples or groups together but this cannot be guaranteed. The coach usually has an on board toilet, reclining seats, seat belts, video screens and hot and cold drinks.(no smoking or drinking alcohol on the coach. However there will be breaks for the smokers travelling with us !)
FERRY
We use a variety of companies depending on the area to be visited.
Most of the crossings are Dover/Calais,approx one and a half hours.
On overnight crossings from Portsmouth it is possible to have a cabin and a small additional fee may be charged for this.
HOTELS
They range from 1 to 4 star.Continental breakfast is included in each Tour and lunch is included in the 1 day tour of Ypres, Belgium.
WREATH LAYING
During our World War 1 and 2 visits it is usual to lay a wreath at one of the memorials or cemeteries at some point.
If however YOU wish to remember someone special please let us know and then we can visit that spot.
Please let us know in advance of the trip and not when we are actually travelling. If you wish us to provide a wreath for your own use let us know and we can obtain one from the British Legion at a modest cost, with the monies going to the Legion.
I would also point out that approx.1 million people died in this area. The ground is regarded as hallowed in their memories so, "tread gently mortal lest you disturb the sleep of those resting below".
