Motoring In France
For those of you who have never driven in France before here are some rules and regulations to ensure your self-drive holiday is as safe as possible.
Driving Regulations
- Remember to drive on the right!!
- Give way to traffic joining from the right in towns
- Seat bealts compulsory where fitted
- No children under the age of 10 in front seats
- No drivers under the age of 18 even with a full UK licence
- Motorway speed limit 130kph (81mph). Dual carriageways 90kph (56mph). Town speed limit 50kph (31mph)
- On the spot fines for traffic offences
- Alcohol limit 50mg/l (Penalty is a fine or imprisonment)

- Headlamp convertors
- A spare bulb kit
- First aid kit
- Nationality sticker
