We set sail at 8.30.am and ten minutes out we spotted whales blowing in the bay of Porto Del Carmen, the skipper headed straight for them and the wife got her camera out and took plenty of photos
The Skippers mate set up the rods with lours and then we drew lots for which rod was whose, I drew number 9 and two minutes later Bang Bang, I was up and running, the skipper sat me in the dentist chair and his mate brought the rod across, and the fight began and what a fight 40 minutes of sheer torture, but I wouldn’t have missed a second of it once the monster was landed.
