The photograph shows the 1897 Sunday School Banner in St John's Church, Weston, Runcorn on the occasion of St John's Centenary Celebrations in May 1998. My story begins with a Church in a Shed in 1971 and concludes with my retirement from a beautiful Parish Church in 1998. My message is that Sunday School was alright in the past, but for the future growth of the Church of England, we need a new approach for all children, the
