Elle's home page

This site is going to be about our precious little girl Elise.
She was born on the 28th Feb 2002.blissfully unaware of the impact she was about to have on our lives.Throughout my pregnancy everything was fine,no problems and no tell tale signs that our much wanted Daughter was to be born with Downs Syndrome. She was quite poorly when born and was in N.I.C.U. for ten days.We were constantly reminded of the fact that our baby girl had Downs Syndrome by some staff there but the fact that she had Downs was not our prime concern,we just wanted to get her well so we could bring her home and resume some kind of normal family life again.

Was life ever going to be normal again? How will we cope? How will this effect our other kids,Katie aged 16,Jordan aged 12 and Callum aged 3? There seemed to be so many questions,so much to worry about, yet here was our Elle just wanting to be loved and looked after like any other baby.Elle is now 15 weeks old and in that short space of time has already achieved so much. She is as bright as a button and all we ever want is for her to be happy. She is surrounded by so much love and determination for her to reach the best of her capabilities,we can expect no more of her, just for her health and happiness.
We have been inspired by reading other peoples thoughts and outlooks and although its still very early days for us as parents to comment, the initial shock does get easier and we are now rewarded with huge smiles and giggles from Elle who is such a happy and contented baby.Instead of the worry for now and the future we are just trying to take one day at a time now and enjoy all that Elle has brought to us all as a family. She is our sunshine, princess, angel and every other wonderful thing you could say about her all rolled into one and none of us would change anything about our gorgeous little girl.
