Every child and young person who plays football should be able to participate in an enjoyable and
safe environment and be protected from abuse of any kind. Child abuse is any of form of physical, emotional or sexual mistreatment or lack of care that leads to injury or harm.
Ekco Whitecaps BFC therefore have decided to appoint a designated Child Protection Officer
(details above) to introduce and implement the Football Associations Child Protection Policy which is designed to reduce the possibility of such incidents occurring.
The role of the above officer is purely procedural and contributes significantly to The F.A.'s ability to
deal with child protection matters. Any concerns about possible abuse and poor practice should be reported immediately to the above officer who will seek advice in confidence and decide the best course of action.
Copies of The F.A.'s Child Protection Policy are available from The F.A. at the following address :-
The Football Association
Lilleshall Hall
National Sports Centre
Nr. Newport, Shropshire
TF10 9AT
You can also view the policy on both Ekco Whitecaps' website and The F.A. website (see above).
Alternatively a copy can be obtained from the designated Child Protection Office for the Club. |
