Edenderry Tennis Club was formed in 1922 and has always been part of the Methodist Church.

It is located at Century Street, Portadown almost at the junction of the Killicomaine/Gilford Road roundabout which is about 1 km from the town centre.

Every year the club hosts an annual tournament catering for the serious competitor and also the novice. It also attracts a large entry from some of the junior players.

Membership is open to everyone including juniors following payment of the annunal subscription.

The Club is also involved in League Tennis and have been playing in the Belfast & District Lawn Tennis Leagues for more than 30 years.

They are part of the following leagues:-

 

 

The 'A' Team play in Division 4 and the 'B' Team in Division 7. The Juvenile Girls and Boys Teams play in Division 1, the girls won their League in 2000.

Coaching for young players between the ages of 5 and 14 is held every Saturday morning between 10 and 11 am from the beginning of April to the end of September and is taken by Club Captain, David Binks.
