Hello and welcome to the Eagle's Nest. For those of you who have been here before thanks for hanging in there. It has taken a bit longer to update the site than I thought. I just started my new Job which severely reduced the amount of time I had to devote to this site.

However, I now have the site to a stage where it can be easily updated so hopefully the site should remain up to date.

More changes

As you can see the format of the news section has changed yet again. This is due to two reasons. The first being that the system that allowed me to display the articles that way has been altered and not to my liking. The second is that there has been a noticable drop in the site's hit rate. Part of this I will attribute to the lack of updates until now but I think that part of it has something to do with the fact that the news section took about 20 seconds longer to load than the rest of the home page. As such it has been replaced. The enhanced features have been lost but at least you can read the articles in the way I intended. Thanks

Channel 4 to get BOP? Yes, No, or Maybe

TheClocktower (now named Birds of Prey [Online]) has released an article stating that Channel 4 that they have no plans at all to show Birds of Prey in the UK. Now I don't  know who they were in contact with but the e-mail I got doesn't so much suggest no plans as it does, 'If we have any plans we can't confirm them yet.' Maybe BOP [Online] know something I don't. The e-mail is included below (all names have been removed).

***** ***** has sent this you this email:
I run a website called Eagle's Nest at http://mysite.freeserve.com/eaglenest/ focusing on a new show airing in the US called Birds of Prey. This show is produced by Tollins-Robbins productions, the Team behind Smallville. There have been rumours that Channel 4 are looking to secure the rights to air Birds of Prey in the UK and I was wondering if you could provide any confirmation of this. Thank you

Birds of Prey Lands on WB - Zap2It
He's referring to The WB Network's teen-Superman drama "Smallville," produced by Tollin/Robbins Productions, his company with partner Mike Tollin. Launched last year, the series, which stars Tom Welling as Kansas high schooler Clark Kent, is beginning its second season as an unqualified hit. Tollin/Robbins is also the company (with Warner Bros. Television) behind another DC Comics-based series on The WB, "Birds of Prey." ...

Birds of Prey - The Hollywood Reporter
The great thing for DC Comics -- and sister company Warner Bros. -- is that no matter how many dastardly criminals meet their demise in Gotham (or New Gotham, as it's known in "Birds of Prey"), there's always more on the way. It's sort of like NFL teams and Los Angeles...

Sorting these heroines can make a guy batty - Chicago Sun-Times

Holy bustier, look who's battling crime in New Gotham City! Batman's gone, leaving three fashion models to assume his legacy, fighting the good fight against the equally photogenic agents of bad in the WB's latest comic book drama, "Birds of Prey." Making its debut at 8 tonight on WGN-Channel 9, the dark, ambitious **1/2 series is perhaps too fanciful for diehard devotees of the original characters and probably too hard core for casual viewers...

Add another trio of ass-kicking chicks to the lineup. The WB's action-packed Birds of Prey (9 p.m.) is the ladies' answer to Smallville, as a trio of DC Comics superheroines unleash a world of hurt on the evildoers of New Gotham.

The series begins after the Caped Crusader has disappeared, so his kid, the Huntress (Ashley Scott), and wheelchair-bound Oracle (Dina Meyer) team up to keep things cool in the seedy city. Joined by psychic teen Dinah (Rachel Skarsten), they face off against the Joker and other baddies.
