INTRODUCTION
- Redams is a simple yet powerful
Inter-Library Loans management tool designed for ILL departments, which
aids in the processing of ILL requests.
- With a user-friendly Windows interface, it helps
ILL departments dispense with manual tasks, speed up the processing of
ILL requests and create full transparency in the ILL process.
- Redams enables ILL staff to expedite the
supply of ILL requests providing an advanced request tracking system for
all types of requests.
- ILL departments obtain items from a variety of
sources [e.g. Local Region, Outer Regions, National Library,
Academic/Independent Libraries, International Libraries, etc.] often
using different transmission systems. Redams provides an ideal
platform to coordinate the various supply routes for requests, with a
single access point for effective tracking.
- Redams includes an ILL applications
module, utilising data already stored in the database, which includes a
full list of all public and academic libraries in the United Kingdom,
with British Library codes.
- Redams is currently deployed on the Local
Area Network at the City of Westminster.
