Dick Francis is one of the most successful authors of the last 40 years. Sadly since the death of his wife Mary he has decided to stop writing novels. His millions of fans who eagerly awaited his new book every September can now only re-read old favourites. There may be one more publication to come from the Francis pen which is a biography of his beloved wife Mary. Dick is currently writing the book which may or may not be published.

For those in the UK you may be interested to know of a Dick Francis exhibition. It is being held at the National Horse Racing Museum in Newmarket. This is the first exhibition to feature Dick Francis and many of the items on display have come from Dick and his family. On show will be a full set of first editions, photos, some of his awards and related memorabilia as well as a reconstruction of a scene from Odds Aganst. Opening date is planned for Friday 29th March. UPDATE - I have just been to the opening ceremony and can assure all Francis fans that it is well worth a visit. I hope to be able to post some photos of the exhibition in the near future.
