Peter started judo years ago!! He had a lot of success at National level while being involved with the BSJA. We are lucky to have Peter join our coaching team and look forward to a great future with Danson JC. Pete recently did a grading to gain his 2nd Dan at High wycombe 15th oct was the venue and the famous "LINE UP" was done in style ! Well done Pete from all the gang at Danson.
Tony recently became a BJA Club Coach congratulations! He has worked hard not only going to gradings but helping coach the successful Bexley youth games team. Tony is now a regular coach for the tuesday class and has proven to be a real catch for Danson well done Tony!
DANSON VISIT HIGH WYCOMBE COURSE 2005
Dave,Gary,Louise,Pete and Tony all visited high wycombe Judo club for a fantastic coaching revalidate/prep day.The course was taken by top coach Roy Inman OBE 8th dan, The day just flew by!Roy Inman is one of the best coaches i have ever come across, He covered all the subjects and made you feel confident that you could handle any problem that might come up at the club? If you get a chance to go on ANY course Roy runs get in early this course was full!Alex Ives 6th dan (who i've known for years) was chosen to present the refereeing side to the course and again was brilliant! He answered a lot of "I WAS ROBBED BY THE REF" questions and (being a nat ref)was impressed by the ease and confident manner he handled the "angry mob" He even cracked a few jokes!I helped Alex with the bowing procedure and was told it was perfect ha ha "A first for everything then"? Thanks to John o'brien and his team for holding the course!Don't miss the " REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2005"
pc stamp of "THE BILL" or Graham cole to his mates turned up to celebrate the "TEN YEAR" new building and to talk to some of the Danson Gang! He was presented with a Blitz Judo suit so that next time he comes he'll be made welcome to come on the mat? Graham gives Danson huge support and has done for years!
