We are committed to providing accessible, rewarding, good value courses to meet our students needs.OUR TUTORS
Orianna and Indigo are co-founders and tutors of Circle of Learning, which they set up to meet the growing demand for hand-on correspondence courses in esoteric subjects. They run courses in Tarot and Witchcraft. Prior to this they worked together in mainstream education and have created a partnership that incorporates their interest in the esoteric and provides support for their own personal journeys and practice of Witchcraft, Tarot and healing therapies. Orianna and Indigo read Tarot at public and private events. Healing is an important aspect of their work, incorporating Reiki II and Theraputic Massage into their spectrum.
Magical Gardening is taught by Jasmine, inspired by her own magical garden where she grows organic herbs and produce.
Our students are welcome to contact their tutor at any time throughout their course, with any questions that may arise during their studies.
SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS A WITCH?
When people think of witches they usually think of a coven - the popular image of a group of witches performing weird rituals and dancing naked in the moonlight. In fact many witches do not belong to a coven and are unlikely to have hooked noses or warts. They generally practice magic in the privacy of their own home and garden. And what they wear, or not, is up to them.
Most witches also practice healing and use some form of divination. They may work alone or in a coven, live in a town or in the country. A witch can be old or young, male or female. A witch working on her or his own is often called a hedgewitch or kitchen witch.
You have probably met a witch without even knowing it because there is no stereotypical witch. We are all different. and we all practice magic in our own way.
WHAT DO WITCHES DO?
A common misconception is that witches worship Satan. This is not true. Satan is a Christian concept, and it’s difficult to worship something you do not believe in. The Horned God that witches revere is the God of wild, natural places, known at various times throughout history as Pan, Herne or the Green Man.
WHAT IS MAGIC?
Magic is the name given to a system of rituals and practices that have the power to change things in such a way as to achieve a desired result. You may also have seen it spelt ‘magick’. This spelling is sometimes used to distinguish it from stage magic or conjuring. Magic in itself is neither good or bad: think of electricity that can power a light bulb, a life support system or an electric chair. It is the intent of the user that determines the outcome.
