God offers mercy to all who have failed to keep his laws. He promises a place in heaven to everyone who accepts that His Son, Jesus Christ was punished on their behalf.
"Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes on him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:14-16).Those who have accepted this salvation are automatically members of the Church, the Body of Christ, and are invited to commit themselves to joining a Church of God.
