CFPS Pres 40s

We need covered accommodation for both D335 & 40 145 to ensure their future well being and of course somewhere away from the elements in which to maintain & preserve them.

We need to raise in excess of £20,000 for two places in a purpose built diesel shed which is being built at Bury on the East Lancashire Railway. This is a fantastic opportunity for the CFPS to finally secure permanent shed space for our Class 40s. Lack of covered accommodation for our locos has been a major concern to our members over the years and we now have the opportunity to address the issue. It also means that we can perform maintenance comfortably to our own timetable, a situation which is currently unavailable.

Once we have achieved this goal, attention should turn to returning D335 to main line standards.
