We owned, showed and bred British Shorthaired Cats for over eleven years, our prefix 'Bazbrits' is registered with the GCCF (Governing Council of the Cat Fancy), our prefix is a combination of our surname and the breed of cat. Showing our cats is our hobby, to which we had much success. After initially starting with Red Tabbies and gaining our first Champion (Ruby). We bought a Black Silver Tabby girl whom we named April (Hoonikatz Thumbelina) who has had some lovely kittens in the past, one whom we kept and named Jigsaw (Champion Bazbrits Queen of Narnia) who had her first litter of kittens in May 2002. She became a Champion aged two. We waited for our own stud boy for several years, his name is Spider (UK Grand Champion Fyskez Cobweb). He was made up to a Champion at the Shorthaired Cat Society 5th Jan 2002 in three straight shows! and he gained the Grand Champion status at the Tabby Cat Club in October 2002. He has so far gained 21 CC's, 24 Best of Breeds, 4 Reserve Grands, 7 Grand Certificates, 2 Imperial Certificates, 2 Reserve Imperials & and is now a UK Grand Champion (can only be gained at the Supreme show) plus he was named Best British Adult at the Tabby Cat Club on 5th October 2002. He was also Cambridge Cat Club cat of the year 2003. Our cats are from pure bred lines, many ancestors being Champions and Grand Champions, which produces stunning kittens. We have travelled all over the country to acquire the best silver lines. British Shorthaired cats are very laid back, friendly and sociable. They are not very vocal unlike some breeds and they are easy to groom. I hope you have enjoyed reading about our cats, photos are on the following pages and are updated as and when I can catch them sitting nicely!! Please sign our Guestbook, to say you have visited our site. Thanks Steph xxx
