The City of Granada and the famous Alhambra Palace can be reached in about 1¼ hours on roads offering fantastic panoramic views. It is well worth a day out.
Skiing is available during the winter periods at the Solynieve resort in the Sierra Nevada near Granada, thus offering the real possibility of skiing in the morning and sitting in a beach restaurant in the afternoon.
A drive of about 35 minutes will take you to the resort of Nerja, offering beaches restaurants and cosmopolitan nightlife.
The famous caves of Nerja are nearby.
For golfers, there are several golf courses in the area, especially the Baviera Golf Course just off the motorway at Velez Malaga. Green fees here are very favourable compared to those west of Malaga.
