Tregonning Hill

Tregonning Hill stands within the parishes of both Breage and Germo.
 

 The walk around Tregonning Hill was lead by Society Member Steve Polglase   This stone is situated at the entrance to the Preachers Pit

The Preachers Pit Steve telling a tale............  

William Cookworthy, who opened pits after seeing locally made fire bricks at Great Work Mine in June 1746. Tregonning Hill was the site of an ancient settlement dating from c.6th century The old quarry which was the site of the plane crash
