Rich did an MTV Radio "morning facts" interview this is what he had to say about "THE AMALGAMUT" and all that is American:
"'The Amalgamut' is a made up word based on kind of amalgamation and mutt. And it basically means the melting pot has come to fruition. In the sense that like you know, this country is really amazing, and Americans I think are really amazing because I think they're finally getting to this point where through the kind of mixing and blending you're finding an amazing amount of diversity. You're getting people that are just incredible, they just look like a new kind of... human, and it's really cool to me. So I really wanted to say it's great to be an American, and my way of saying... 'The Amalgamut.'"
