INTRODUCTION

Callum was born September 1st 2000,a bright baby boy. By the time he was three months old we realised he had a problem of some sort. After numerous visits to our local hospital trying to convince the A and E staff we were not just paranoid parents,Callum was diagnosed with a brain tumor at four months old. The brain tumour he was diagnosed with was called a Desmoplastic Infantile Ganglioglioma , a very rare type of tumor that usually affects the very young , there are more details on my links page.
This was removed just two days later but left Callum needing a shunt to control his Hydrocephalus caused by scar tissue during the operation.
Callum has since gone on to have over forty operations in three years. Most of which have been to replace blocked and infected shunts.
He now has a shunt in his spine and in his brain, to explain all these terms I have included a links page. Hopefully this site will keep you all up to date!
