It's said that dogs, creep and crawl into their owners affections, well this may be true, ever since Lassie hit the big screen and Elvis sang Old Shep there seems to have been a never ending trail of dogs all vying for position as number one pet.

We cats, well we snip here and daintily dig there, and little tidy here and a little tidy there. None of the 'must dig this hole right here and nowhere else will do' situation, no, not when you are a cat.

True we are a bit pernickity at times and we do have our little foibles, but then don't we all? Well, alright, we do sit on a few choice plants from time to time, but that's only because you planted them in the wrong position, a few inches to the left or right and we would have missed them completely.

Anyway, the average dog needs exercising twice a day, and the person who does the walking also has to be the pooper scooper! Ask yourself would your average cat to do that, I don't think so!
