For fifty years, the society had strong links with the library, which housed exhibitions and provided a meeting room, but recent changes have meant a new venue has now been found. The society now meets on the last Friday in each month, excluding the holiday periods of July, August and December
At
Kingswinford Community Centre from 7.30 - 9.30pm.
MEETINGS would include:
Demonstrations by well-known professional artists, and artists from within the society. Subject matter and media are wide ranging and are of interest to all
Talks and lectures, illustrated with slide shows, on work by famous artists or on the artist's own work, provide many enjoyable and inspiring evenings.
Talks on calligraphy, framing, the world famous glass produced locally, and public art also provide an interesting range of subjects to explore.
Meetings are also 'social get-togethers' for people with similar interests.
EXHIBITIONS
There are two exhibitions each year in Spring and Autumn. All members are entitled to submit a number of works (usually four), from which those to be hung will be selected.
