I bought the bike, a GS1000EN brand spanking new on the 5 April 1980.
In actual fact myself, and a friend bought one each.
The two machines registrations were only one digit different .This in itself always turned heads whenever the bikes were parked together.
They were purchased from Ashton under Lyne Suzuki Centre, I have no idea if the shop is still there. Anyone know? then please email the answer.
Although I live in the North East of England we saved £400 each by travelling to Manchester!

Sadly my friends bike was stolen, never to be seen again.
I tend to be more careful where I leave my bike, and have owned it for more than 24 years now. One careful owner. LOL
