The core members of the ensemble are Sharon Walker, Julie Alder, Ralph Alder, and Noel Weston. Four close friends who have known each other for around 10 years and 3 of whom are Peripatetic Woodwind Teachers within the East Riding and North Yorkshire areas.

The ensemble was first asked to perform at the reception of a wedding at the request of an acquaintance. Since then we have performed for Birthday celebrations, as well as rehearsing for our own pleasure when free time permits.

The members of "A Blast From the Past" will be performing pieces from the Light Classical, Jazz, and Popular styles of music. Each of us plays Clarinet, Flute and Saxophone within the ensemble.
