3rd Generation
Henry Barnard born in Weedon Buckingham 1st November 1838.In the 1851 census Henry was living with his grandparents who were under parish relief and he was working as a shop boy in St Clements, Oxford.In the 19th century the children of local paupers were ordered to undergo an apprenticeship which had to be provided by the parish trades people,this could be why Henry was a shop boy possible then training as a saddler.He then moved to Gloucester and he married Mary Ann Wilton on 4th December 1860.
Henry worked as a sadler in Gloucester,he moved to Hereford and back to Gloucester where he died on 8th April 1894. Mary moved to Bristol.She died 13th November 1932 in Bristol.They had ten kids,William,Clara,Harry, Walter,Arthur, Sarah,George,Charles,Florence and Fred.William born abt 1841 in Oxford St Clement. Charles born abt 1843 in Starbridge? Edward born abt 1846 in Aylesbury. Joseph Burnard christened 13/5/1850 St James Cowley Oxford.He died 14th May 1850 in St Clements in the care of his grandfather.
