Thank to Lynne Shipton for  information on the Manley line

I started to research my family line when I received some free software with a new PC about 3 years ago, and had a lot of luck when I come across a     message on the Oxfordshire mailing list from Lynne Shipton , who was able to pass on a lot of details as she was researching  the same line as me. But we seem to be stuck on a Thomas Manly (born 1756) who was parish clerk in Little Wittenham, Oxfordshire, but we are not able to find out where he was born. If anybody can help please e-mail.
