'Hairspray' Today; 'Sydney
White' Due Fall '07
Friday,
July 20, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
"Hairspray", Amanda Bynes most epic
flick to date, is released in the UK and America today. Also
"Sydney White and the Seven Dorks", the college-comedy Amanda
filmed in Orlando earlier this year, is
reportedly being released sooner than anticipated, on
September 21. We're a bit behind in updates, but galleries from
all the other "Hairspray" premieres around the States and a little
something extra will be coming your way very soon.
From Toronto to LA...

There's Amanda
Bynes, back in Toronto to promote "Hairspray" on MuchMusic. The
dazzling gallery featuring the other three familiar faces of the
moment is up now in our
Premiere Gallery. In literally a few moments Amanda will be
back walking that uniquely-teased red carpet for the Los Angeles
Premiere of "Hairspray", all of which can be watched live via
MySpace.
T4 Interview In The
Gallery
Sunday,

Amanda
Bynes, Elijah Kelley, Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky stopped by the
Channel 4 studios before heading off to Toronto and back on their
promotional "Hairspray" tour. We have a fresh,
new gallery from their interview
up now.
4 In The Morning...

Amanda
Bynes and fellow "Hairspray" cast members Zac Efron, Elijah Kelley
and Nikki Blonsky will be appearing on T4 tomorrow morning. The
show kicks off at 8:50 AM on Channel 4 and it's unknown which
segment the interview will appear in, but we think it's likely
going to be before Midday. Amanda was snapped out and about in
London yesterday after her visit to Richard and Judy (see below),
this and a few more new photos are up in the "Hairspray"
premiere gallery.
Amanda's LIVE!

For
the first time ever in her career, Amanda sat down live on British
TV with Richard and Judy this afternoon. If you didn't know, she's
in the country at the moment to promote "Hairspray" along with
Nikki Blonsky, Elijah Kelley and Zac Efron - although she'll be
off soon, stopping in Canada on Monday before heading back home to
LA on Tuesday for another premiere. We have almost seventy
exclusive pictures from her appearance up now in
The Gallery. We also have
been continually updating our "Hairspray"
mini-site with pictures from the premiere so keep checking it out.
The Nicest Kid In Town!
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Finally,
after almost five straight years away from us, Amanda Bynes is
back on British soil! Despite being the World Premiere of her
latest flick and a highly anticipated Summer blockbuster,
"Hairspray's" London premiere was quite a low-key event. Apart
from the films all-singing, all-dancing cast, the only other major
guests to attend were Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie
Prinze Jr., who had come to London earlier in the week to open
Harrods's Summer Sale. Up now are the first of what we hope to be
many photographs of Amanda dazzling the crowds of people who came
to see her.. or the other three equally as nice kids, all of which
can be seen in our new Gallery.
London Called, Amanda Answered!

There's
unconfirmed reports that Amanda Bynes is heading to London to
attend the World Premiere of "Hairspray", which as you know is
released July 20, along with Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron and Elijah
Kelley. We're going to be keeping our eyes peeled for any possible
last minute TV appearances the cast might make before or after the
premiere, which is set to start around Midday. After tomorrow (or
if we're lucky, tomorrow night) a red carpet gallery from the
World Premiere shall be posted on our "Hairspray"
mini-site, which has been slightly updated today to include an
interview Amanda had with Top of the Pops Magazine (in stores
now). Happy Fourth of July, America!

Dear, Amanda Bynes...
Friday,
June 29, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
During our absence, we
unfortunately missed a huge announcement regarding Amanda's career
and her future as a role model to young teens. Since a young age
Amanda has had a passion for drawing, something which she kindly
shared with the world through her official website during it's
early years on the web. What stood out in these pictures was
Amanda's own, unique style, expressed in a variety of different
clothes, each created by her. Well now, for the first time in her
career, Amanda Bynes is set to launch this unique and creative
style into the real world by designing her own fashion line in
partnership with the American clothing chain Steve & Barry's.
Charmingly titled, Dear by Amanda Bynes offers girls, in her own
words, clothes that fit your own personality. It's set to launch
this August and already the promotional buzz is hot. Check out the
official
site and get connected through
MySpace in order to stay up-to-date.
'Hairspray' World Premiere Hits
UK July 5!

June 22, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
The "World Premiere" of Amanda's
next big film, "Hairspray", will take place in just under two
weeks from now in London's Leicester Square. For more information
visit
All In London, and for a chance to win a pair of tickets to
the premiere click
here. We don't know who from the film will be attending the
UK/World Premiere, most likely John Travolta, maybe Michelle
Pfeiffer and Queen Latifah too. But we hope if Amanda has the time
she'll fly over too. If she doesn't, there's the definite
possibility of here turning up at any or all of the other Red
Carpet premiere's for "Hairspray", which take place in Los Angeles
on July 10, New York on July 16 and
in the very town where the film is set, Baltimore, on July 18.
If she does make it over here
however, rest assured we'll keep an eye out for any TV or Radio
appearances the cast might make together, and you'll be able to
read all about it exclusively here on the UK's only Amanda Bynes
fan-site!
Amanda Rumoured For 'Walk Of
Shame'...
Tuesday,
June 12, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Universal Pictures is in final
talks with Amanda Bynes to star alongside Seann William Scott, Anna Faris and Dane Cook in the romantic comedy "Walk of Shame", set to
start production this Autumn. Centred around the lives of four
singles living in New York, the plot is speculated to follow the
female lead at her job on a talk show which focuses on bad
relationships, something she can't relate to at all, or so she
thinks. After being dumped she realises her perfect love-life
wasn't perfect at all, and that the guests she looked down on
before are the exact people she needs to be getting advice from if
she ever hopes to find love again. Expect more news on this rumour
as it's released.
Back To Business...
Monday,
June 11, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
As suddenly as the problem came, it
has now gone and we can return to updating the website. A
refreshed layout is on it's way for ALL of our pages, giving some
a well needed spruce! Until then, however, here's what we missed:
· "Lovewrecked"
washed ashore on May 18 and managed two weeks in the top 10, doing
considerably better than Amanda's first solo project from 2003,
"What A Girl Wants". Expect an announcement next month regarding
the all important DVD release.
· The buzz surrounding "Hairspray"
steadily increases in-time for it's release date of July 20. The
soundtrack was announced for release on July 10 and the cast,
including Amanda, have been promoting the film on
MTV and
E! News.
We have exclusive galleries of
these two appearances online now.
· Filming wrapped on "Sydney White and the Seven Dorks"
(going by it's full title from now on it seems) and the movie is
rumoured to be getting an earlier release date, around August,
probably to cash-in on the success of Amanda's role in
"Hairspray".
·
What I Like About You finally made it onto DVD in America, but
as a special treat it seems WHV have encoded the boxset as Region
0, meaning it can be played on mostly any DVD player around the
globe. Season Two is rumoured to be heading to stores in December.
New WILAY galleries will debut with the rest of the new site when
it launches, so stay tuned for all 22 (and more) of those!
· The Amanda Show is back on Nickelodeon UK. It seems the
channel no longer own the rights to broadcast What I Like About
You, which means the show's fourth season, and those 7 banned
episodes, still remain unseen in mainland Britain (Ireland can
still enjoy WILAY on TG4 every Friday).
· "She's The Man" premiere's on Sky Movies next month!

We've still got major
technical issues plaguing regular updates to the site, but
hopefully that won't stop us from telling you all about "Lovewrecked"
finally being released in the UK. It hits cinemas next month and
we hope to try and bring you as much info as possible, despite the
problems, so check out our new
mini-site for "Lovewrecked" now!

Trailer Released Tonight!
Wednesday,
April 18, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Not a lot has been happening in our
Amandaverse, despite the fact she turned the big 2-1! We hope to
be putting up a few photos from the small gathering she managed to
arrange after filming "Sydney White" in Florida.
What I Like About You: The Complete First
Season is still bound for a Region One May release, and we
can't wait! Until then however, the first official look at
"Hairspray" is about to go down, with Entertainment Tonight US
nabbing the first-play of the long awaited Theatrical Trailer. The
film has also been tipped for a same-day release now, much like
"She's The Man" was, however the actual UK release date is still
to be confirmed. In anticipation of what will be the first of many
galleries to come, our "Hairspray" mini-site has launched, so do
us a favour and check it out!

Guess Who This Do Belongs To?
Saturday,

AOL
nabbed an
exclusive first look at just one of the many promotional
posters that are going to be released for "Hairspray". Tagged with
the question 'Who's Who Behind The Do?', the poster features 10
individual boxes, each with a leading actors hairdo and eyes
peeking out. The poster doesn't reveal who is who, however, but
I'm sure you all know who that do belongs to by now!
Two On-Set 'Sydney White'
Interviews
Saturday,
March 24, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Amanda's been talking to the local
reporters again, this time for the
Orlando Sentinel, who have a few on-set photos to accompany
their interview about "Sydney White". Amanda discusses why she can
relate to her character, despite never having been to college, and
what her plans are for when she turns 21. In another article, she
unfortunately says something which causes a great deal of mental
scars to reappear for us British fans:
“[What I Like About You] ended its run, "but it's still on,
everywhere, so it doesn't feel like it's over," she says.”
Not everywhere, Amanda. For us,
What I Like About You ended 18 episodes too early! In fact, after
next Friday there's not a lot for British fans to look forward to.
There's still no word on a UK release for "Lovewrecked", despite
also being on everywhere as well, and "Hairspray" has a
projected release date of October! If you want my advice, find
yourself a multi-region DVD player and join me on May 1st as we
begin to relive the first ever season of What I Like About You.
All the way from "Pilot"
through to "The
Talk" (actually, for us it'll be "live", since Nick UK banned
"The Talk" from their channel).
First Look: 'Sydney White'
Saturday,
March 3, 2007

Amanda is now busy filming "Sydney
White" (previously "Sydney White and the Seven Dorks) in Orlando,
Florida and the
local news there have featured the film in a report on why
more filmmakers are heading to Florida. What's especially nice is
that they've included an embedded video of the report, which gives
us our first ever glimpse of Amanda Bynes playing Sydney White,
the girl whose struggles to fit in with her Sorority sisters and
chooses to remodel the lives of seven 'dorks' in order to gain
respect amongst her College peers. The film, not likely to hit
screens until 2008, features John Schneider, Sara Paxton, Danny
Strong and former WILAY guest star Samm Levine starring alongside
Amanda Bynes.

Amanda 5th In Forbes' Richest
Under 21 List
Wednesday,
February 28, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
For the first time ever, American
magazine Forbes compiled their official list of the world's
richest child stars under 21. No prizes for guessing which two
teens held the top-spot, but you may be interested to learn that
Amanda managed to edge into the top 5, grossing a reported $2.5
million in 2006 for her works in "She's The Man", "Robots" and "Lovewrecked".
Previously, Amanda managed to make it into Forbes' infamous Top
100 in 2004 and 2005, rounding out the list at #98 and #99
respectively. Unfortunately though, this will be the last year
she's legible to be included in their new list of under 21's. As
for the next Top 100, it's doubtful Amanda will place any higher
when the list is released in June, having just missed out on the
predicted success of her next big flick "Hairspray", due for
release in July.
Amanda Bynes Gets 'Hairspray'
Fashion Doll!
Monday,
February 19, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
There isn't even a full-length
trailer yet but already the anticipation of "Hairspray" is
beginning. A series of dolls has been announced to coincide with
the release in July. "Hairspray" dolls of all the central
characters will be available, wearing their signature fashions
from key scenes in the film and also singing the
recognisable songs from the movie's soundtrack. No word on whether
these will be released internationally but it's likely. Correcting
the previous news update, the "Lovewrecked"
Region 1 DVD release is rated PG-13, though it appears to be a
fullscreen presentation, which some people may be disappointed
with since the film has appeared on DVD in widescreen in other
countries.
'Lovewrecked' Gets Region 1 And
4 DVD Releases
Wednesday,
February 14, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Less
than a month after it's TV Premiere, "Lovewrecked" is going to be
released on DVD next month - in America and Australia! The North
American, Region 1 release date is set for March 13 and it appears
to be the edited PG version which is making its way to DVD. In
Australia, the film will be heading straight-to-DVD on March 21.
Despite being released on Region 2 DVD in European countries
already, the film wasn't announced for release in the United
Kingdom. Hopefully more news shall surface soon on whether or not
any of the DVDs will be included with special features, or if "Lovewrecked"
is heading for TV or DVD in Britain.
Third Year Without KCA
Nomination; Kids Choice UK?
Sunday,
February 11, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Despite having a very successful
year in 2006, both on the big screen and TV, Nickelodeon have
ignored Amanda once again in their nominations for the 20th Annual
Kids Choice Awards. If some of you are thinking that perhaps
"She's The Man" was too mature for Nickelodeon's target audience
then you might be interested to know that three of the four
Favourite Movie nominations were rated PG-13. Whilst honestly, it
comes as no surprise Nickelodeon have snubbed Amanda again, what
did shock us was the announcement that Nickelodeon UK will be
producing their own version of the Kids Choice Awards. The list of
nominations, guests and an all important date have yet to be
announced, but we (somewhat foolishly) hope that Nick UK take into
account the roaring success of "She's The Man" over here.
Interestingly, if the show takes place late enough in the Summer
then there's a slim-chance Amanda could attend if she ends up in
Britain promoting "Hairspray". We're NOT getting our hopes up, but
we'll keep you updated on this story as news arrives.
Amanda "Kept Calm" After Car
Crash
Friday,
February 02, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Not the best news to report on at
the beginning of the month, but Amanda was
reportedly involved in a multiple car collision on Wednesday
in Beverly Hills. There were no injuries, and witnesses claim
Amanda kept her composure after the crash and calmly called for
help on her phone. No police report was filed and the on-scene
officers helped facilitate the exchange of information between
Amanda and the other driver.

'Lovewrecked' Premieres Tonight!
Sunday,
January 21, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
It
was almost two years ago this week that the world wide web
premiered the theatrical trailer for Amanda's (then to be) next
major motion picture "Lovewrecked".
Sun Village, the resort where the movie was filmed, hosted it on
their website... and subsequently removed it the next day. But it
was too late - thousands of Amanda fans had already seen the three
minute preview and were aching to see the real thing. Summer 2005
was the release date tentatively scheduled by Media 8... but
Summer came and went with no sign of Lovewrecked. Amanda Bynes UK
were officially asked by Media 8, the company who owned the film,
to remove our "Lovewrecked" photo galleries. Then after that, news
stopped and everything suddenly got very quiet. Rumours were
spreading that "Lovewrecked" would be released straight to DVD. In
2006, Media 8 started submitting the movie into film festivals. It
was one of the main attractions at the first annual Dominican
Republic Film Festival and then it was also set to get a screening
at Cannes. From there, The Weinstein Company bought the
distribution rights and a new release date of Summer 2006 was
announced. "Lovewrecked" slowly sweeped it's way across Europe and
Asia making a small impact, and certainly enough business to
ensure it was released on DVD. But as for America, there was still
no sign of it being released theatrically. Then last month,
"Lovewrecked" appeared on January's schedule for the cable network
channel ABCFamily. After over two years, we can't help but be
anything except relieved that it's at least getting some sort of
distribution before it makes it onto DVD. Hopefully this will
still ensure other countries get to see it. But tonight, America,
it's you turn! "Lovewrecked" starts at 8pm and 7pm Central, with
many repeats scheduled on the channel afterwards.
ABCFamily have added a trailer to their website and soon we'll
have updated our website to include some more promotional and
behind-the-scenes pictures.
'Hairspray' & 'Lovewrecked'
Galleries

Those first promo shots from "Hairspray"
are now available to view here in our gallery, as well as some
other photos from "Lovewrecked",
which premiere's in America next Monday. We also have an update on
the First Season of What I Like About You, it seems the release
has been pushed back to May 1 - possibly allowing more time for
added bonus features. Can anyone say commentaries?! Also, it's
just been brought to my attention that TRL is back on the MTV UK
schedule from next week, so let's hope that they pick up from
where they left off and show that behind-the-scenes look at
"Hairspray". If they do, it should be on MTV UK (and Ireland)
January 23 at 10am.
First Official 'Hairspray'
Stills

New
Line have released the first batch of official promotional
pictures for "Hairspray", giving us our first proper look at
Amanda as Penny Pingleton. In the photo, taken from the film, she
is being tied up by her on-screen mother Prudy (played by Allison
Janney). There are
eleven more to enjoy, two of which have Amanda and the other
cast pictured dancing and singing. Of course you can't hear them,
but it seems like everyday we're getting closer to an actual
trailer being released - but we can't forget that Amanda has a
singing role in this, so we hope that said trailer will include
some decent footage of her in action!
Schedule Change
Monday,
January 8, 2007
-- Posted by Tom (Webmaster)
Unfortunately it seems the same
idiots that were working on the schedules of Nick UK last year are
now in charge of MTV UK too. It's the only explanation we can
guess as to why MTV UK would replace TRL with a QUADRUPLE helping
of My Super Sweet Sixteen. Whatever the case may be, it ain't
coming back. No First-Look "Hairspray" caps and no chance of ever
seeing Amanda Bynes as a guest host. So what have we got to look
forward to until April 3? There's the first ever TV screening of "Lovewrecked"
is on ABC Family, January 21 at 8pm. A Hairspray trailer would be
nice, one that's composed of something other than 9-foot tall
letters. I don't think it's out of place to request a nomination
or two in this years Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards either. Also
next month, Amanda starts work on her sixth major motion picture,
Sydney White and The Seven Dorks. So make sure you keep visiting
this website, as there's bound to be some surprises for 2007 that
even we couldn't predict!
