We dug the plot twice, trying to remove as many weed roots as possible. We replaced the old compost heap with a large area where we can have compost and storage. At the top of the plot we fenced off 25 x 25 feet as a safe place for our dogs while we work on the plot. This area will be turfed. All the wood was going to be thrown away by a local firm.
