SOME OF MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ALEX SNIPPETS - not in any particular order (definitely not alphabetical!):-
__________Final night - Jade getting ready. Asks Alex to do up her cross and chain. It was a perfect little cameo, particularly when she was holding up her hair and he blew the lose strands to one side at the back of her neck as he fastened the chain.
Every time Alex looked directly at the camera.....wow!
Alex in the Diary Room: (lol)
BB: "Are there any of your fellow housemates that you think really deserve to to win?"
Alex: ...waffle, waffle....... Says nothing....... There follows a lengthy silence, followed by a mumbled comment about not liking the question ....more waffle....
BB: "What would you like to talk about Alex?"
Alex: After a very lengthy pause ....."I don't want to talk about anything"...... further long pause.
BB: "Would you like to leave the Diary Room?"
Alex: "Yes please"........ further long pause.
BB: "OK Alex, thank you"
Alex: "Thank you"
__________
Making breakfast for Jade the morning after Ms. L and Mr. R's 'night before'. How he had the patience to try and explain the workings of a car with a mid-mounted engine and the complexities of a Golf handicap to Jade was amazing. Whether or not she understood - she was overawed by him and the attention.
The 'rehearsal' for 'Bring me sunshine'. Astonished to discover after all his caterwauling throughout the previous eight weeks, that Alex can actually carry a tune! His less than enthusiastic approach to the Barber shop quartet was not appreciated by Mr. R & Ms. L (grin). I think all the Sunshine, Joy, fun, laughter, happiness and love passed over all their heads!!!!! Alex was definitely not into the program (grin)
Waking a hungover Ms. L and Mr. R with a blast of 'When the Saints go marching in' on the accordion. - Now that was funny!
Camera watching and dodging. Sometimes blatantly communicating with the camera, other times looking for 'blind spots', getting pissed off with them or totally obscuring their view in a way that would not seem too obvious to BB! He obviously had quite a good idea of how to do it.
Reading the story of the Happy Prince to fellow housemates. I still wonder if any of them recognised the moral of the tale....
Learning the accordion in such a short time. His determination and dedication to the task, the language and frustration when he got it wrong. The testosterone was just blazing out!! (grin)
Alex's chat with Jade about mad Ludwig's castles in Germany - she was enthralled! (aaaahhh)
Hiding from the other housemates under his bed - although they didn't find him, it was a shame that they eventually figured it out.
Practising darts on his own - his facial expressions, determination and concentration, was a joy to watch.
Pissing Tim off by slaughtering him at table football!
Raises wineglass and eyebrow - whispers/mouths directly to camera - "Here's to Big Brother". Was he still sober at that point, or just being his bone dry witty self, I wonder?
_________
Having the nerve to ask BB for frog food
Alex: "Hello BB"
BB: "Hello Alex"
Alex: "Could we have some Frog food please?"
BB: "What for Alex?"
Alex: "We've got a Frog"
BB: "And you and the other housemates would like to keep it?"
Alex: "Yes we would.... I mean I know it doesn't really come when you call it and you can't take it for a walk and you can't stroke it. But I suppose it's something different....."
__________
Looking good in those green/turquoise bermuda shorts and bright pink hat - No one else could get away with it!
__________
In the Shower (say no more!)
Washing, drying and styling his hair (30 seconds for the styling!) - what a miracle. It would be fun to see a split screen of Tim and Alex doing their hair.
__________
Black-tie dinner: Almost the whole evening until they got changed.
Smoking the cigar on the fork - looked like he's done something similar before!!!!
Unable to control his laughing with Jade - hysterical.
Dancing with Jade and telling her to look in his eyes when waltzing - WOW! If she'd stopped giggling she would have melted into the floor...
The "Speech" - Ms. L's jaw dropped!
Alex changing out of his Dinner Suit. Wearing shirt and socks, hanging up the trousers and Jacket. Ms. L turned herself into a nervous wreck finding things to do in order not to look at him (hee, hee, hee)
__________
Smoking the occasional cigarette. In particular when wearing his dinner suit at the table in the garden after the dinner. Just about the sexiest thing I've seen in years - and I don't even approve of smoking! I almost started again after 15 smokeless years!
Behind the door - say no more - Truly a classic TV moment! I think every female viewer must have stopped breathing the first time they saw it... my boys were totally won over!
