The Unity will prove claims of descendancy by issuing a PEDIGREE. All children with a valid Pedigree and fulfilling the financial criteria, as laid down by the Charities Act and the Trustees, are entitled to grants from the Foundation. To obtain a Pedigree, a child's parents must first obtain a valid line of descendancy either to the First Schedule, or to another proven descendant.
For instance, if you know your cousin has a pedigree, you can also obtain one if sufficient formal documentation is given to prove your blood relationship.
In all instances, there must be a blood relationship; 'Step' children and 'Adopted' children do not qualify.
All documents have to be sent to the Registrar of the Unity for Approval. The first application for any grant must be verified by the Unity Registrar.
There are descendants all across the world now and we would like to encourage contact between them.
For instance there could easily be an Australian Group, with a Unity membership of 16 there already. The same applies to Canada, America and New Zealand too. However we will not give the names out unless authorised to do so.
