We would not breathe at all if it weren't for the Earth and the Sky, therefore, it will never cease to amaze me how little the majority of people seem to care for the wellbeing of the planet... for the wellbeing of themselves... maybe they do not breathe(?).

It seems such an insignificant chore sometimes, yet, once we remember how to breathe, that we even breathe, we begin to notice the breath of all Life around us, almost as if we can feel every single insignificant tiny molecule brushing against our skin... not insignificant at all of course, for without one of those tiny molecules, the whole structure of Life as we see it would fall apart.

So, how do you begin to care for the Earth? You begin by caring for yourself - BREATHE - and KNOW that you are breathing when you do... know that you are sharing Life with EVERYTHING else on this planet every time you breathe in and breathe out. Sit with this thought in meditation, just for five minutes a day, and soon you'll begin to FEEL the world around you - not the world you are so used to seeing, but the LIVING world that will fill up your senses with the wonders of scents and colours and sounds and tastes... yes, TASTES... just flicker your tongue out into the air and taste it... go on...

This is your sixth sense. In my experience, the sixth sense is a combination of ALL the other five senses joined in unison and heightened, to make one "super sense". The sixth sense triggers the function of the third eye, and then you'll begin to pierce the veils between the worlds - a movement here, a flicker there... enter the realm of faeries and the otherworldly creatures... earn the trust of the nature spirits* and REALLY get the know the Earth and the Sky - the Home that you live in.

The Earth is a living, breathing, moving, changing, growing, powerful creature... and we are but children in her womb.
