WestBletchleyJubilee Carnival
The 2002 Carnival day was held onSaturday 7 th. September .
The parade left Melrose Avenue just after 1.00 p.m. proceeding along Whaddon Way and turning right into Tattenhoe Lane finishing at the Carnival field to the right of Tattenhoe Lane adjacent to the RAF Association Club. The procession was led by a 20 piece band and included 12 floats and around 300 walking participants including stilt walkers.

It was intended that the Mayor of Milton Keynes opened the Carnival events at the Tattenhoe Ground at around 2.00 p.m. although this was not immediately apparent. Events and participants included a fly-past by a World War II fighter and bomber, military vehicles, small steam engines, a dog show, football coaching, five-a-side football, a bouncy castle, quad bikes, a dance tent and a beer tent. The Carnival was sponsored and supported by West Bletchley Parish Council and organised by the council in conjunction with Inter-action MK. Any surplus over the funds provided by the council will be donated to Willen Hospice.
