It was intended that the Mayor of Milton Keynes opened
the Carnival events at the Tattenhoe Ground at around 2.00
p.m. although this was not immediately apparent. Events and participants
included a fly-past by a World War II fighter and bomber, military vehicles,
small steam engines, a dog show, football coaching, five-a-side football,
a bouncy castle, quad bikes, a dance tent and a beer tent. The Carnival
was sponsored and supported by West Bletchley Parish
Council and organised by the council in conjunction with Inter-action
MK. Any surplus over the funds provided by the council will be donated
to Willen Hospice.
