Vanbrugh, Irene (1872 - 1949)
Irene Vanbrugh, Irene Barnes was born in Exeter,
her stage career began in 1888, later she joined J.M.Barrie's company
in 1891, In 1893 she joined Beerbohm Tree's company, in 1895 she
joined George Alexander's company, in 1901 she married
Dion Boucicault (1859 - 1929) an actor, director and playwright,
In 1933, she took part in Stars in their Courses - a BBC radio program.
Also participating were Fay Compton, Sir Frank Benson and Matheson Lang.
Irene was still performing in 1938.
Vezin, Hermann (1829 - 1910)
Hermann Vezin was born in Philadelphia, and came to England in
1850 for his first stage performance, he performed with Charles Kean,
and the Bensonians, by the 1890's he had made his name as 'the best known
teacher of acting', his pupils included Herbert Beerbohm Tree, Baliol Holloway
and Frank Benson, who regularly recruited Vezin's pupils to his company.
Herman Vezin was the father of Arthur Vezin
