McLeod, Mercer ( - )
Mercer McLeod, was born in Canada and came to England as a boy,
he became a Bensonian, later he joined the Ben Greet Players, toured the
United States with Sir Philip Greet in a production of Hamlet, and he then
joined the Bernard Shaw Players, with which he toured England, South America,
and the Far East. He returned to Canada to try radio, initially as a producer.
He later became a radio actor, his next move was into television, he debuted
on Broadway in 1951.
