Hello
everyone! It's me, Armslore again, back with
a rather belated article. I've had a rather
busy summer ( I went to the convention this
July! ) and I apologize sincerely for my absence.
Now, its time for some guns! To make it easier
on me, I am only going to review episodes in
which a new firearm(s) appears. I'm going to
do all of the firearms used that are used in
Episodes 1-3 of Season 1 in this review.
To begin with, some of the explorer's guns magically
have changed from the pilot episodes. Now Marguerite
has her own rifle, a generic looking bolt action
of the Mauser type. Roxton has also decided
on a bolt action rifle instead of his shotgun.
Malone has changed dramatically, as he is played
by a completely different actor! He has a Colt
1911 .45 auto handgun and a double barrel exposed
hammer shotgun ( possibly a rifle ). Challenger
and Summerlee are as stubborn as always and
didn't change at all. As a side note, Summerlee
appears to have used a Webley in both the series
and movie, however the intro movie one may be
nickel-plated and a different model than the
one used in the series, which is a blued Mk.VI
Webley. Another side note- I have put a name
to Marguerite's pistol! I have narrowed it down
to a Smith and Wesson Safety Hammerless ( also
known as "Lemon Squeezer" ) in either
.32 or .38. I have not been able to nail down
exactly what model, but stay tuned for updates!
The
only "Guest Gun" in these 3 episodes
was another S&W Safety Hammerless, also
of unknown model or caliber. All I know of it
is that it was nickel plated and had custom
ivory/faux ivory grips with the initials "AL"
engraved in them.
