Minutes of AGM held on 16th November 2004 at 7.30pm at S.E. Village Hall

1. Stephen Dovey thanked everyone for coming.
Minutes of last AGM read and adopted. Proposer-George Biggs,
Seconder-Michael Eastwood
Points arising
a) We applied to Woolworths for a grant for a Chat Shack but were unsuccessful and no further funds have become available.
2. Annual & Fundraising Report from Stephen Dovey, Chair. Copy attached.
3. Financial Report from Michael Northover, Treasurer. Copy attached and adopted
Proposed George Biggs, Seconded George Eastwood
4. Election of the honorary officers: - the current members were elected to remain. Proposal of re-election from George Biggs , seconded by Michael Eastwood. Approved.
5. Election of committee members: - the current members were elected to remain. Elizabeth Gill proposed Andy Jewell another committee member, to replace Marten olden who resigned, seconded by Roy Hayter. This was approved
6. AOB a) Michael Eastwood asked for confirmation that construction of tennis courts is our next project. SD explained we need about £33000 and cannot start until grant funding has been approved.
b) Michael Eastwood asked why the total funds raised during the Funday had not been published in SEDCA. EG explained the editor had refused to print the amount on the grounds that to do so would be ‘common’.
c) Michael Eastwood asked how we had arrived at the name ‘Sports Field’. SD explained we had asked the Village for suggestions via SEDCA and a newsletter but none had been forthcoming so the committee decided.
7. 100 Club draw of £100 was won by no.53 Wilbur & Heather Harris
